Film on the Radar: Women Are Heroes

JR was thrust into the spotlight after he won the TED prize earlier this year. Now, the French street artist continues his incredible journey with the film “Women Are Heroes,” which has been selected for the 63rd Cannes Film Festival.

The movie documents his travels around the world photographing victimized and impoverished women and then pasting them up in their own neighborhoods and towns, sending a powerful message of hope and strength.

Excuse me but this vídeo is only " a part " of truth!!!
I´m Brazilian, the people of these areas give support and help the traffic! After accept money from the " traffic soldiers"!
The people have many sons, ignoring that don´t have money!!!!
The police and the army of Brasil try with all your resourses help the people, but they prefer stay with the traffic!
These peoples don´t are soooooooooo innocent how these video shows!

This trailer is awesome, and the movie appears to be very polished, stylish and well produced. The theme reminds me of one of the best talks on TED that I listened to this past year. Zainab Salbi's, Women, Wartime, and the Dream of Peace. Salbi is sooo moving, articulate and really made me think that if women were allowed in the war rooms, all of this fighting would look so different.
