Our Children’s Disappearing Environment

The ever-talented Jeremy Blincoe just reached out to us to tell us about a brand new series he'll be showing starting August 5 and through August 27, 2011 at Lindberg Galleries in Melbourne, Australia. (Lindberg Galleries represents emerging and established Australian contemporary artists.) Similar to his stunning series Wander and Wonder, Blincoe casts young children in his scenes, making us think about the early relationship we develop with our natural environment.

It's called Fleeting Embrace.

“I created this series as I am concerned that with health of the environment slipping away slowly, and in other cases more rapidly what the generations of the future will have to grasp and experience,” Blincoe tells us.

“I really love creating images where the narrative is slightly ambiguous and the viewer can draw from their own experiences and imagination to create their own story.”

Beautiful, imaginative and thought-provoking.
