Here's the thing. I like these photos posted on LiveCrunch. Many of them are interesting and cool. But the author of the article uses the
"Amazing" moniker in the headline. Is anybody else growing weary and wary of this word?
In fact, this hyperbole technique is altogether played out, sloppy, and lazy. "Top 10 Best Apps." "The most amazing napkins you've never seen."
Frankly, I won't stand for it any longer. It should be abolished along with typing in ALL CAPS, and using multiple exclamation points to emphasize an uninteresting sentence!!!!
So let's talk about that. Does it make me a total headline-nazi-douchebag for criticizing his headline? Am I just too jaded? Do I expect too much from bloggers? How many exaggerations can I read before they all sound like spam subject lines? How many gawl durn bloggers can abuse their superlatives before I slap them?
Oh, that sounds like a fun game. "Slap the blogger." Forehands are 5pts, backhands are double.
So before I grumble myself to sleep ... please enjoy these moderately-interesting, kinda-worth-a-look, semi-creative iPhone photos.
... and slap yourself.
