Striking Urban Landscapes Set Against Surreal Swirls of Coffee

20-year-old Hungarian artist Flra Borsi showcases the unexpected beauty of coffee in her series Coffee Universe, blending urban skylines and natural landscapes with backdrops made up of creamy, caffeinated swirls. Borsi uses digital manipulation to create these beautiful composite images, introducing a world that not only runs on coffee, but is actually made of the brewed beverage.

Typical street panoramas are transformed into surreal vistas as whirls of beige, hazel, and bronze flood the skies, taking over the background completely and tinting everything in a warm, sepia light. The images alternatively look like scenes from an apocalypse, or a coffee-lover's dream. Borsi says, “I've created something that is different than what you've seen so far. This is my Coffee Universe.”
