Francoise Nielly grew up bathing in sunlight, surrounded with the exuberant colours of the South of France. She lived somewheree between the cities of Cannes and Saint - Tropez where the wealthy would flock there to enjoy their Mediterranean holidays in luxury. Her father was an architect and he taught her everything about space and construction.
Nielly uses bold, fluorescent colours and strong strokes. Her paintings are very vibrant with a sculptural feel to them. Still there's something elegant and sleek and classy seeping through. It might have a lot to do with her influences while growing up.

In this video you will be able to find out more about her. If you speak french. If not, it is still very fascinating to see her at work.
