Fox / ABC refuse to air this bra commercial (totally safe for work)

Fox and ABC Network censors have refused to air this commercial deeming it "too sexual" and "showing too much cleavage". Yes, these are the same conservative networks who air the Victoria's Secret "fashion show" and Desperate Housewives. What the heck? I can't figure this one out. Is it because the model is full figured? Is it because she has self confidence? What kind of a weird double standard is this? Here's the story directly from Lane Bryant's website: here The networks finally relented after the company threatened to pull all their advertising, but not until they had pushed the ad as late into the evening as possible.

What do you think? Is this ad too sexy for TV?

How about we call it an update? The video is rather artfully done and is worth sharing on it's on merit. So everybody wins.

I actually think they did a really good job of presenting a full figured woman as sexy without making her appear skanky and trashy. Even with more "idyllic" women it seems hard to do these days. Over the past decade or so I've seen Fox progressively degenerate into a hypocritical and trashy network so I'm not surprised by their resistance. I'm kind of surprised by ABC though. But then again they have been struggling with bad ratings and bleeding affiliates for a while now so it's clear they've lost touch with their market a long time ago.

That's funny Ian! I never saw that discussion by Johnny. I always check and see if someone else has posted something first but I didn't search the discussion this time.

Erm... You might want to take a peek at this. It's nice to know they caved though. Well sorta.

I still maintain it didn't meet Fox's skank quota. As for ABC, I think it's obvious by how much trouble they've had staying afloat as a network that they have no idea what's going on.
