Solar-Powered Floating House Completely Customizable for Endless Design Possibilities

Many people dream of living on the water, and with Floatwing, those fantasies can become a reality. This modular, self-sufficient house created by Friday floats on the water and has endless design possibilities. The mobile residence starts with a fixed width of about 20 feet, and it can have additional lengths installed that range from 33 to 60 feet. This allows residents to customize the boat to their exact needs–the Floatwing could be a cozy studio or a three-bedroom home. Whatever the size, one appealing constant is that nature is always at its doorstep.

Inside, the Floatwing is impressively equipped, featuring favorable amenities for any homeowner. There's a kitchen large enough for everyday use, a heat pump, AC generator, and a barbecue on the upper terrace. It even features a wine cellar and pellet stove to provide warmth on cold and dreary days. To make all of this possible, the boat uses solar panels. When they're fully charged, the house is self-sufficient for at least seven days and produces up to 80% of its annual energy needs.

Besides its modern aesthetic and sustainable build, another perk is the Floatwing's mobility, made possible with two small outboard motors. They produce enough power to navigate at a moderate speed of three knots and allow residents to wake up with a new view every day.
