Saturday, December 13th, 5:55pm-8pm: Marina del Rey

Are you itchin' to get into the Holiday Spirit? Here's your chance! Marina del Rey is hosting their Annual Holiday Boat Parade this Saturday. This years theme is "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town". Scores of parade boats are decorated in holiday themes and will circle the Marina main channel several times. The lit-up boats should be a spectacle as some boaters have gone to great lengths to make their boats really special.
The best places to watch are Burton Chace Park and Fisherman's Village. Make sure to dress warm as it gets pretty chilly in December. A great idea would be to book dinner at one of the waterfront restaurants in the Marina: Shanghai Red's, Sapori, El Torito - you can see the parade from these restaurants.
The Saturday evening parade will run between 6pm to 8pm and is free to the public. If you do go, be sure to try and catch the fireworks which will precede the boat parade at 5:55pm.
