Italian photographer Giampaolo Sgura started out his career in architecture before turning his visual talents and passion toward fashion photography. In his recent project for Vogue Japan’s April issue, Sgura teamed up with stylist Anna Dello Russo to create “The Girl Who Rocks the Planet.” In each photograph from this series, Brazilian model Aline Weber dons strikingly metallic styles and is consumed by the very busy urban streets of Tokyo.
From the disco ball bike helmet to the faux lion head wrap, it’s difficult to distinguish what is most captivating: The actual design of the clothing or the visually aggressive and energetic urban environments surrounding Weber. Each photograph is alive with textures and colors, and Sgura’s incredible talents for creating glamorous fashion photography are once again evident in the final results.
