Mac users rejoice! More than a year after its Windows counterpart debuted, Google Chrome is now available for Macs. This new, modern browser is not only fast, with quick start up and page loading, but pretty - with a simple interface based on tabs. In a nutshell, here are the reasons why you should use Google Chrome. Speed: Google Chrome loads pages and runs web applications in a snap. Stability: If an individual tab freezes or crashes, the other tabs are unaffected. Omnibox: You use one box to both search and type in web addresses. New Tab page: Visit your favorite websites easily from the New Tab page. When you open a new tab, the sites you visit most often are readily available. Though it's taking a little getting used to, I'm digging the speed and efficiency. Using one box to search and type in urls rocks. Download it here. Also, let us know what you think about Chrome. If you have had Chrome on your PC, what is your browsing experience like? How does Chrome compare to other browsers, like Firefox? Via Apple Insider,

  • I just grabbed the Beat too, and it's certainly fast. I can't live without my precious Extensions so I doubt it will become my default browser any time soon. That, and until 1Password can function with Chrome it's almost too much trouble to log into sites manually!
