Google is a revolutionary company that's admired for its dominant search engine and other Internet-based services and products as well as for its fun and modern working environments. Recently, the worldwide corporation asked design firm Penson to create their newest offices in London. Featuring bold blocks of color contrasting with large areas of white, these rooms are given an aesthetically striking appeal.
While at first glance these workspaces may look like lounge areas you'd find at a hip bar or coffee shop, look closer and you'll notice that these are, in fact, collaborative spaces that were designed to boost productivity. Penson felt that the walls of the rooms should used, so many of them are made out of magnetic whiteboard, which allows the engineers and other problem solvers to sketch out concepts or hang up work. Also, much of the floor space is designed to be used for informal meetings. The offices are also equipped with height adjustable desks to better suit each specific user. The overall flow of the new spaces is one that allows for both work and relaxation.
