For ESPN Magazine's new Body Issue, Brazilian professional big wave surfer Maya Gabeira was the focus of one of the most beautiful underwater shots I've ever seen. Completely naked, she went duck diving as photographer Francsco Carrozini captured this stunning shot.
"I've been getting some good feedback. My family liked it -- my Dad, that was a big relief," Gabeira told Jon Coen of ESPN, "I liked it myself. I felt more artistic than exposed. But the picture came out alright."

Comment by Nathan Blaney on July 13, 2012 at 2:45pm This is one of the weakest shots in a VERY well photographed collection. The other shot of Maya is far better. Even for photos of surfers duck diving, this is kinda blah. Pick up an issue of Surfer mag and be prepared to be blown away if you want actual great surf images. The nudity here adds nothing.
