Halno: The Japanese Harry Potter

Inspired by Natsumi Hayashi, the sweet-looking Japanese girl who captured millions of hearts with her lovely levitating self-portraits, graphic designer Halno has taken his own set of whimsical photos. Shared on Instagram, the photos show the Japanese hipster flying on his broomstick alongside cars, near airplanes and through beaches and forests.

Called "The Japanese Harry Potter," Halno creates these magical-looking photos with the help of his assistant, Wacamera. The duo must be doing something right as they've amassed almost 50,000 followers on Instagram, many of which have been inspired to take their own flying photos.

Of course, Halno doesn't mind, and he even shares these tips to fellow photographers: "To create your own copycat version of the ‘flying broomstick’, it is important to bend the legs, and make sure you perfect your facial expression, no excitement needed!"

“Just remember to be interesting, and different from other people. Amateur photos of food and clothing are boring, don't you think? You can fly on anything, not just a broomstick. Be creative!”
