Well, hello Hard Rock! New renderings of the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas have popped up on Hotel Chatter
and oh are they sweet! The company behind this redesign is Zeff Design
, who's ultrasexy style can be seen at the Night Hotel in New York
. This time Zeff Design is working with the Morgans Hotel Group in a $750 million renovation, redesign, and expansion that broke ground in 2007 and is slated for completion in late 2009.
The New Joint
- A multipurpose facility featuring a state-of-the-art sound system, an innovative lighting system, WiFi access throughout the venue, a full blogging station for press covering events, and 38 flat screens throughout the venue to guarantee the ultimate viewing experience.
Conceptualized by action sports star Carey Hart, Wasted Space is a lavishly decadent rock club that brings authentic high-end rock n’ roll culture to Las Vegas, creating a one-of-a-kind nightlife experience. It is the only place in Las Vegas where you can truly get up close and personal with rock legends as well as the hottest new bands before they break.
The Ultra Lounge:
"We'll see guests designing their own experiences." Zeff plays with that immersive notion in the 4,300-square-foot Ultra Lounge planned for the Hard Rock. The walls are masked out, making the entire room an interactive canvas. Guests choose from an image bank, bringing the walls to life in their style. Clouds, 16th century scenes, geometrics-they're all available. Initial patterns are simple, subtle at first. As more people enter the space and the temperature rises, a heat sensor signals the software matrix to add complexity. Geometric images begin to multiply; historic scenes become populated and dynamic. "Guests can make the art and the experience match their mood," says Zeff.
Now this, I wanna see!
Personally, I'm digging the understated elegance. The signature purple color was getting old and it seems like they're trying to cater to a more upscale crowd. Go, Hard Rock!
