Couple’s Magical Hogwartz Wedding Is the Ultimate Homage to Harry Potter

If a wedding is any reflection of a couple, newlyweds Cassie and Lewis Byrom have made it perfectly clear who they are–massive fans of Harry Potter. After getting engaged at Universal's Wizarding World of Harry Potter last year, they recently held Potter-themed nuptials at Manchester Town Hall. Cassie and Lewis even included a reading from Order of the Phoenix in the marriage ceremony!

The couple wore a traditional wedding dress and suit but still made a playful nod to the iconic series. Cassie donned a Hogwarts garter and mismatched House heels underneath her dress, while Lewis had Marauder's Map cuff links attached to his sleeves. Additionally, actual pages from the books were cleverly incorporated into the bride's bouquet and the groom's boutonniere as intricate paper flowers.

The reception, held in Manchester's Midland Hotel, was where the Byroms' fandom truly came to life. Guests were greeted by Azkaban poster place settings and given handmade wands, and they sat at tables that each had their own House theme, decorated to match. Dessert was another opportunity to infuse Potter into event, and the couple cut a cake that was an ode to The Tale of the Three Brothers, complete with Bellatrix and Voldemort Lego cake toppers.

It would've been easy to overdo it with all these fantastical additions, but the affair was elegant and tasteful, all while infusing the magic that so many of us know and hold dear. See more from their nuptials, below.
