This TED video is of Daniel Pink a former speechwriter for Al Gore and now a motivational speaker. He describes why the incentives used in business today do not work for creative tasks and outlines a new methodology that can produce far better results. From my own perspective he is dead on. I am far more motivated by autonomy and purpose than I am by the promise of a once-a-year bonus or raise. Most everyone here at theMet is creative in one way or another so I am very interested in your views on this. What is the right way to motivate you?
