On a personal journey to find herself, New York-based photographer Htet T. San has created a beautifully artistic series called "The Frail Second." Shot at beaches around New York City, on Coney Island or Brighton Beach, all of the photos show the silhouetted reflections of random people as they walk, play or just stand along shallow ocean waters. San started the project at the beginning of this summer, looking to strip out all the layers and walls she had built up since her existence.
What she found was "complete nothingness."
The feeling was "so huge and overwhelming that I suddenly felt like I was going to collapse at any moment and never find myself again.
"In the memory of that split moment, I created this project 'The Frail Second.'"
