I Love Modern Architecture - The Three Graces: Dubai

Historically in art, The Three Graces have been viewed as a symbol of lasting unity that represent joy, beauty and charm. NOX | Lars Spuybroek has designed a family of towers called The Three Graces in Dubai which emulates that very dynamic. The family of towers, which are currently in progress, will be interconnected by a footbridge that will reduce footprints on the piers. The symbolism of unity will make The Three Graces appear as a gate to the harbor on which it is situated.

Inspired by the famous Firth-of-Forth Bridge in Scotland, the three towers are constructed from one load-bearing skin which is geometrically based on small oceanic creatures called 'radiolaria'. One meter behind the skin, there is a glass-mullion which acts as structural element dividing adjacent windows. The towers' climates can be regulated by a mixture of both natural and artificial ventilation. Looks like something out of a sci-fi movie.

Man Dabai is going to be "it" in about 10-20 years.. It use to be these large countries that dominate the world and lead in innovation... Nope not anymore... Just a state within the UAE...making SO much noise.
