My Modern Metropolis
If you're a germaphobe, I apologize for this post in advance...

If germs had faces, what would they look like? Artist Travis Louie must have asked himself that same question. Using graphite and chalk on toned paper, he came up with these humorous, slightly disturbing illustrations.

Louie was born in Queens, New York. His early childhood was spent drawing and watching “Atomic Age” sci-fi and horror movies. He's amassed thousands of sketches he's made of genre characters like Godzilla and King Kong.

According to his website: "The influences for his work are many; the genre films, his fascination with human oddities, circus sideshows, old Vaudeville magic acts, Victorian portraits, and things otherworldly, are all blended together to enable him to bring life to the characters and stories he writes in his journals."
