Incredible Mosque Projection Mapping


In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the United Arab Emirates National Day, a magically divine light show was orchestrated by Obscura Digital, a creative agency based in San Francisco, which developed the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Projections Project. The company did its research and were clearly prepared to honor the rich history of Abu Dhabi in their light projections through their skilled employment of three-dimension mapping. The beautiful floral and geometric designs found in the mosque's own architecture were echoed and heightened through the colorful light show. By configuring their forty-four projectors appropriately, they were able to illuminate the walls, four curved minarets, and twelve domes of the mosque without distorting the engaging projected designs.
