Inspiration: Metropolitan Home’s Glamour Book (5 pics)

Truth be told, I am an interior design junkie. Shoot me up with some inspirational design blogs, books and magazines and let me imagine that I am laying in a modern designed home. I've collected books from Kelly Wearstler and Jonathan Adler to Nate Berkus and, of course, Domino (RIP, I miss you dearly.) And I scour design blogs like Decor8, Desire to Inspire, DigsDigs and Contemporist.

What am I looking for?

Unique ideas – how to mix and match traditional and modern, color schemes that remind me of the St. Regis in SF or the London in West Hollywood. I want to live in a comfortable home but one that evokes an easy elegance. A home where you feel equally comfortable kicking up your feet as you do hosting a formal dinner party.

What's the next book I'm eyeing? Glamour: Making it Modern. They sold me with this line, “modern luxury isn't just about money–it's about attitude.” And though I don't completely love all of the photos they've shown on their website, I can appreciate the ideas. Check it out and let me know what you think.

This last picture is my favorite. Simply stunning.
