Though you may remember Elena Kalis for her magical underwater scenes which included superheroes, elephant tamers and even Alice (of Alice in Wonderland), you won't find those same characters in her most recent work. Lately, Kalis has been exploring more murkier waters or as Kalis says, themes that "touch the darker aspect of the ocean, like fears, unconsciousness, and death."
We love how her work has become much more conceptual...
Not many people can make underwater photography look so effortless like Elena Kalis can. Don't you think?
