My Modern Metropolis
Vincent Van Gogh

Artist Molly B. Right has made an impressive series of portraits using the unique medium of bottle caps. By first starting off with a painted figure on a piece of sheet metal, Right then attaches the caps so that they overlap, causing a scaling effect. These bottle cap can date anywhere from the 1930's to the 70's. Great care is taken so that no glue shows and they are covered in a transparent glaze to help further enhance the image. The pieces are usually 4ft x 5ft and can weigh up to 70 lbs!
