New Avatar Poster Featuring Neytiri

You got a quick glimpse of Neytiri in the opening Flash of the official website, but now Fox International has released the full image of the Na'vi character played by Zoe Saldana in James Cameron's Avatar in the form of a poster.

Opening in conventional 3D theaters and IMAX 3D on December 18th, the film co-stars Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Peter Mensah, Laz Alonso, Wes Studi, Stephen Lang and Matt Gerald.

Avatar is the story of an ex-Marine who finds himself thrust into hostilities on an alien planet filled with exotic life forms. As an Avatar, a human mind in an alien body, he finds himself torn between two worlds, in a desperate fight for his own survival and that of the indigenous people.

here's a fun fact, the name Avatar was actually licensed to cameron back in the 90s when he first wrote the treatment for the movie, so that is why they are calling the movie based on the cartoon "the Last Airbender". When you look at it Cameron and his team were way ahead of the cartoon haha.
