Captivating Seascapes at Sunrise and Sunset

Lisbon-based photographer Jose Pombo modestly refers to himself as an amateur photographer who likes landscapes at sunrise and sunset, preferably near water. However, his work is anything but amateur. The landscape photographer captures stunning images of vast seascapes that whisks a viewer away into a fantasy world. It's hard to believe that these misty beaches accented with stretching silhouettes of bridges and vibrant moss-covered rocks exist in real life.

Sifting through Pombo's portfolio, one is transported to a mysterious water world that comes alive and dances with the peeking sun. It is at these precise moments of dawn and dusk that Pombo manages to encapsulate the awe-inspiring seascape. There is a simultaneous sense of motion caught in the skies and the waves as well as a relaxing calmness. There are two story lines in the photographer's series of images. Does one take the road that leads to a tranquil unwinding by the beach or go on an adventurous treasure hunt through the hazy seas?
