Can you believe that all of these pieces were created just by putting pencil on paper? Courtney Brims is an Australian self-taught artist based in Brisbane who graduated with a degree in interior design before turning her attention to art and illustration in 2008. Amazingly, Courtney works almost only with colored pencils, sketching dreamy worlds of lost girls and bewildering creatures. Brims says she is influenced by Victorian illustration, fairytales, daydreams, nightmares and childhood memories.
"I see my pictures as bittersweet, delicate and detailed. They are dreamy and a little dark at times. I like to hope that they fill people with a sense of curiosity and nostalgia." - Courtney Brims
