LA Contemporary Art Fair This Weekend

One of my favorite art galleries in LA, Thinkspace is taking part again in this year's Beyond Eden, a multi-gallery event. Beyond Eden starts tonight, Sat, Oct. 9th and continues to tomorrow Sun, Oct. 10th at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery located in Barnsdall Park off of Hollywood Blvd.

Thinkspace will debut new paintings from Aaron Nagel, Brett Amory, Caia Koopman, Jacub Gagnon (*image featured above), Stella Im Hultberg, and Yosuke Ueno among others. They'll also feature new sculptural works from Scott Radke and Kevin Titzer alongside new collage works on canvas from Derek Gores as well as a special installation from artistic duo Dabs Myla.

Beyond Eden is working with some of the best LA galleries including Copro Gallery, La Laz De Jesus Gallery, LeBasse Projects, C.A.V.E. Gallery, and Carmichael Gallery.

The Sat, Oct. 9th opening night reception will feature a presentation of a lifetime achievement award to Robert Williams along with live painting demonstrations on the balcony, live DJ action and special installations.

Come out to catch this very special event! For those who can't make it, Thinkspace gives a great web preview of their art.

Jacub Gagnon's paintings remind me of Josh Keyes' work. Nice. http://is.gd/fTw5f
