The Los Angeles-based Corey Helford Gallery (CHG) has reached a milestone, and now it’s time to celebrate. It’s marking its 20th anniversary, and doing so with a two-part gallery show. Aptly titled the 20th Anniversary Group Show, this special exhibition brings together artists who have helped define the gallery’s legacy over the past 20 years, transforming a project known only in LA into a globally recognized name that has shaped the New Contemporary Art genre.

For more than two decades, Chinese artist Shen Lie-Yi has transformed the fleeting movement of water into enduring sculpture. His ongoing Rain series captures the moment a raindrop strikes a surface, expanding outward in delicate ripples before disappearing almost instantly. Shen recreates these transient forms in materials such as Shanxi black granite, black obsidian, and carbon fiber, turning a brief natural gesture into something that can endure.

Artist Creates Mossy Arms Wrapping a Forest in Tree Hugs

Nature is one of our greatest sources of connection, and trees represent an entire ecosystem of interweaving relationships. This is something that artist Christophe Guinet, better known as Monsieur Plant, explores in Tree Hug, an outdoor exhibit on the grounds of the Maison Chateaubriand in Châtenay-Malabry, France. The mossy arm sculptures evoke a sense of warmth and tenderness for nature as they wrap themselves around the trunks of trees.
