Li Wei’s Best Non-Photoshopped Shots of 2011

Artist Li Wei is back with his gravity-defying, mind-bending photography. Alice first introduced us to the Beijing-based performance artist last year, featuring a lively and comical set of photos. Luckily, Wei has produced a new series of images in 2011 that employ the same sort of compositional madness.

Although the images appear to have traces of photo editing, the only true presence of manipulation, that Wei is known for, involve smoke and mirrors – like a true magician! The artist utilizes acrobatic skills and metal wires to compose these bizarre balancing acts. I imagine that the sets of Wei's shoots are exceptionally unusual yet filled with fun!
