Artist Beautifully Hand-Crafts Bookmarks With Tiny Terrariums Attached

Terrariums add a touch of green and nature to spruce up any room, and jewelry artist Magda Lena translates these encapsulated gardens into functional designs to showcase the beauty of nature. Her statement pendants, earrings, and rings—in which she places real dried flowers, dyed moss, and gemstones inside a patina-applied ribbon of tin—embellish any outfit with a bohemian, retro vibe.

In addition to jewelry, Lena also creates beautiful hand-made bookmarks using a similar technique. The terrarium charm dangles like a mini magnifying-glass from a curved staff, which elegantly sets into the crease between your favorite book's pages. The moss comes in a wide range of colors to suit your individual fancy, which is something Lena's work emphasizes. The Polish artist explains, “Everyone is different, extraordinary and so is my jewelry. I create individual projects, not even one is made identically, each of them differs. I want people to feel unique as are the things they are wearing. I intend to create for open-minded, courageous women and men who are aware of their individuality and are not afraid to show that to the world.”

Lena's exquisite bookmarks, as well as her jewelry, are sold in her Etsy shop, CreativeStudioML.
