Magnificent Brown Bears (18 photos)

There are few land mammals more handsome than these big, furry, brown bears. Italian photographer Stefano Unterthiner sought of these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat, and captured these amazing shots.

Stefano travels regularly around the world in search of new subjects for his photographic stories. He specializes in trying to tell an animal's life story, which brings him close to a particular species for a long period. Stefano is a strong advocate of wildlife conservation and environmental issues.

Beautiful. He has captured that magic of a chance encounter of a wild animal in its environment. Some look too close for comfort!

wow, some of these look like the bear is just a few feet away.
