Men Are Creatively Weaving Their Hair to Transform Man Buns Into “Man Braids”

Man buns have long dominated as a popular hair trend for guys, but this style is now evolving into something with a little more finesse. Known as a man braid, these intricate hairdos feature long locks that are layered and twisted into fashionable designs that span the top of men’s heads and down their backs.

Like any hair style, the way a guy wears his braids is all based on personal taste. Some men prefer a traditional French braid that tapers into a tasteful ponytail. Others take an avant-garde approach and pair sections of tiny twists with perfectly-coiffed poufs. The point is, a braided man bun takes men's hair to a new level. The endless possibilities of braids for men makes them appropriate for special occasions or everyday wear.

The Instagram hashtag #manbraids proves that they aren’t just for women anymore—check out some of our favorites, below.

Take a braided man bun and what do you have? A man braid!
