Member Appreciation Giveaway: 5 Inspirational Posters
Apparently we weren't the only ones who fell in love with this poster. Between Twitter, Tumblr and blogs, the Holstee Manifesto poster has been posted about over 60,000 times and counting! Lots of great advice that reminds you about what's important in life, don't you think? (See the words up close here.)
Do you know of some good advice? Something you've heard from your mom, friend, mentor, that you think others should know? Or maybe it's a quote you live by...
We're giving away 5 of these 18 x 24 in posters (retail value: $25 each) to the people who'll share with us their words of wisdom.

My grandma (or Gma, as she is more commonly called) is almost 90 years old. Very conservative, very proper. She has never cussed, tasted alcohol, smoked or done anything remotely scandalous that I am aware of. I talk to her every day and have benefited from a life time of wisdom and strength but one conversation sticks out more than any other in my mind because of its humor, its simplicity and its love. This conversation came a few days after my Gma lost my Gpa, the love of her life, her husband for over 69 years.
"Gma, you met Gpa when you were 13 years old. He was your first love and your only love and it lasted for almost 70 years. Please, please tell me how you did it. What are the secrets? Because I don't think anyone knows what it takes anymore."
Gma thinks. Inhales. Looks really sad for a minute and then smirks.
"You, know" she says, "I never took any Advil, the way some girls do when they need to have a headache. If your grandfather wanted it, I gave it to him. And if I was in the mood, you know right well that he was gonna give it to me."
Way to go Grandma! My future husband is forever in your debt.
