We promised you another great contest, so here it is! We've teamed up with
Your Photo on Canvas (YPOC) to give away one exclusive 20" x 30" print on stretched canvas AND one 20" x 30" of your choice! (Total prize pack is $250.) When YPOC asked us to pick our favorite photographer, it was easy, we chose
Matthew Priestley. His
unbelievably beautiful portraits look like they could have been ripped from the pages of a high-end fashion magazine. Our favorite photo from Priestley is the one Eugene and I are holding above, which tells the story of an idealized, old Hollywood beauty who's thinking about her long, lost love.
Like a lot of fluke accidents, this was the photographer's last shot of the day. As Priestley explains, "I didn't like how these last shots looked in the camera because it was a cloudy day and the idea was to have some direct sunlight with a fill light from the front, but the soft, diffused sunlight and the soft studio lighting created this blanket of warm light around her. It was much better than what I was looking for, and has since been one of the most recognized photos I have taken."

Eligibility: This giveaway is only open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia.
Timing: The contest begins on December 15, 2010 at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time ("PST") and ends on December 25, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. PST (the "Promotion Period"). Winner will be announced shortly thereafter.
Enter Frequency: Each participant may enter one (1) time per day.
Selection Process: My Modern Met will randomly pick a winner using random.org.
Number of Prizes: One. The winner willl get two 20" x "30 canvases - one by Matthew Priestley and one by you, which you'll be able to upload at YPOC.com.
