Dripping Rain Cloud at Nuart Festival 2012

We first learned about UK-based Mobstr when we came across his clever street art pieces that were dripping with sarcasm. For this year's Nuart, an annual international art festival held in Norway, he's made another "dripping" piece of artwork. Mobstr joins street artists we're all familiar with including Aakash Nihalani, Neils Shoe Meulman, and Ron English, in creating fresh pieces for Stavanger, Norway. While one can view these incredible works all around the city, it's this street art piece by Mobstr that really caught our attention.

It's a simple cloud painted on the side of a building with rain, in the form of blue paint, streaking down the wall. The most eye-catching part is that the rain is making its way down the street, forming into a giant puddle in the middle.

Now in its 12th year, Nuart 2012 promises to be the biggest and best event yet with a series of citywide exhibitions, events, performances, and workshops surrounding current trends and movements in street art practice. Known as ‘the Cannes’ festival of street art, Nuart’s works are exposed to over 100,000 people each week. This year, it began on September 29th and its indoor show at Tou Scene will run until November 18th, 2012.
