From afar, Villa Geldrop in the Netherlands looks like any other home. Walk a little closer, though, and you'll notice that is has an awesome underground level.
Four bedrooms and a living room are located in the underground level. Hofman Dujardin Architects designed the home to allow tremendous amount of natural light to flow through the open spaces in the axe-shaped foundation. The villa also includes a dining room, kitchen, study area, and play area.
My parents live in Mierlo (which is in the commune Geldrop-Mierlo), Netherlands.
I tried to google (and look on the architect's site) for the location of this villa but couldn't find it. This villa could be 5 or 10 km away from where i am sitting now, would be great to see it in real life!
Plus the weather is really nice now ;).
