Modern Architecture - Japanese Firm's Sexy Black House

Check out this sleek, sexy house designed by Japanese firm FORM / Kouichi Kimura Architects. With a black exterior and white courtyard, it's no surprise that the interior is full of contrast with both light and dark rooms. Although the house doesn't look too big in size, I like how they set up the space to make it look spacious and clean.

I'm really intrigued about the use of black tiles and bricks in the bathroom. The contrast with the bathtub water is magnificent, but I wonder if i would be depressed every time I took a shower. That's precisely why I like the use of dark wood in the bedroom and living area. It makes those areas seem a lot warmer.

do the Japanese just build this cool, minimalist structures and then live somewhere else? Just once it would be nice to see one of these houses actually inhabited by humans

I like this house very much , specially the wood they used but I'm not keen on the bathroom color (too prison cell !)

love the overall shape and space, but a tad too stark for me. doesn't seem very comfortable to live in.

cool house, but a little too modern for me. Agree, would make a great movie set though.
