Their beautifully-minimalist buildings offer mobility and the comforts of a larger home, all without breaking the bank. The portable, trailer-led getaways cost just $22,000 for their Half/Half model and $47,000 for the Twenty-Footer version (20′ x 8.5′).
Monarch sells their Half/Half model as an unfinished “bare shell,” which is ideal for those who want to fully customize their space. It includes the basics–pre-installed water, sewer, power, and gas lines–but it's up to the inhabitant to determine how the interior will look and function. For those wanting something move-in ready, the Twenty-Footer features a built-in loft, kitchen, and bathroom.
Both models are structurally sound and reinforced with structural insulated panels (SIPs), and their exterior siding is composed of reclaimed wood fibers and recycled plastic bottles. Another environmentally-conscious feature are the windows, which are insulated and low-emissivity. Monarch also encourages their homeowners to consider adding solar panels, further increasing the sustainability of the already eco-friendly home.
