For those of us in developed countries, it's hard to imagine living in a world without basic technology. Vanessa Hollander and Wilson Philippe went on a ten-day motorcycle tour in Mongolia and brought along their Fuji Instax Mini. Many Mongolian nomads have never seen a physical photo of themselves. The reaction of their faces tell the story better than any words could.
"When we asked one family if we could take a picture of them, we were kind of scared of bothering or distracting them from their daily duties," they say. "We didn't see the family for the next ten minutes so we assumed they didn't want a picture. Finally, came out of their yurt all decked out in traditional celebratory clothing! We were so honored to be able to capture a moment of them together."
