Mr. Monopoly is one of the most iconic figures in American history. Because of the economic meltdown and healthcare crisis over the last few years, artist “Alec Monopoly” chose to use the icon to start a social commentary about the country's broken capitalistic system. “I started painting monopoly men right after the economy tanked,” says Alec. “Seeing how many families were greatly affected by this, really pushed me to express myself through the character. I see Mr. Monopoly as an icon of capitalism and provocative when used as a narrator to immoral investors such as Bernie Madoff.” With such a provocative series, Alec has been getting noticed by people from all over the world. So much so, in fact, that the NYPD is looking for him…
