Museum Busts Through Statue’s Face

French sculptor Sosno and Lithuanian architect Rytis Daukantas have teamed up for a rather interesting project. Based off of one of Sosno's sculptures, the “Sosno Art Gallery Building” is a gallery that would stand 22 meters high and has 600 square meters of space. It's possible location is Niche, France.

Quite literally, the beam goes through the face of the building and holds the galleries at a cantilever, while a main elevator shaft and stairwell come up the center. The beam is covered in glass with wooden slats so that the original sculpture is followed as close as possible and lets in natural light. The building would also include a conference room, souvenir shop, and a balcony for visitors to view the surrounding seas and mountains.
