Must See! Alice for iPad (video inside)

So, I've been holding off on getting the iPad till I just can't take it anymore. Like a lot of you, I've read article after article about it - you know, "the ipad is a content consumption and not a content creation device" yadda yadda. But boy, when I saw Lewis Caroll's classic Alice in Wonderland come to life on the iPad...well, just take a look.

"Tilt your iPad to make Alice grow big as a house, or shrink to just six inches tall. Enjoy Alice in Wonderland digitally remastered for the iPad.Throw tarts at the Queen of Hearts - they realistically bounce off her. Witness the Cheshire Cat disappear, and help the Caterpillar smoke his hookah pipe. This wonderful book includes 52 pages and 20 amazing animated scenes. Watch as full screen physics modelling brings illustrations to life."

Now this is what I call an experience! You know someday we'll have to tell our kids that we actually read books on paper...

What are your thoughts?

Wow, I had no idea that they were already developing stuff this cool for the iPad. I was seriously thinking about getting a competitor (such as the Android-based WePad or the newly announced Google Tablet). But after seeing this I wonder if the stuff developed specifically for Apple (and only available on their device) may be worth going that way.

I think the potential for the slate device as a new medium is pretty exciting. If Alice looks cool now, imagine the potential for the future.
