More Incredible Surreal Photography by Miss Aniela

We first came across the fashionably surreal works of self-taught photographer Natalie Dybisz, aka Miss Aniela, last year and are pleased to see that she has continued her creative journey with plenty of new additions to her captivating ongoing series titled Surreal Fashion. Miss Aniela's images are just as entrancing as ever, this time highlighting a relationship between fashion and nature, including this world's wondrous and majestic creatures.

Whether the fashion photographer's models are lounging in a chair overwhelmed by vines and birds or playing sleuth with a magnifying glass with an elephant's tusk for a handle, the women are elegantly and elaborately costumed. Each shot stands on its own as a separate world filled with its oddities that somehow don't disrupt the stylish sophistication of the environment. Who ever thought that a lion's head for a skirt would look so refined on a woman standing in front of a fireplace?

The artistic choices in the series are truly inspired. The experimental elements take the images beyond just fashion photography. There's an acute consciousness of every aspect of the frame that allows the fashion to complement its surroundings and vice versa. It's also interesting to see how seamless many of the images appear to be, when there is so much more work put into it. To get a glimpse of the post-work done on just one of the images, check out the time lapsed video, below.
