Grand Prize Winner: Splashing by Shikhei Goh
Back in November, we wrote a post about the amazing entries in National Geographic's 2011 photography contest. After more than 20,000 photographs from over 130 countries were submitted, the winners were finally announced. The grand prize winner was chosen from three categories: nature, people and places. Shikhei Goh, of Indonesia, took grand prize honors with this vivid nature photograph of a dragonfly in the rain and will be published in the magazine. The Big Picture in on the scene with all the winning entries, as well as some stunning honorable mentions.
