New in the Shop: Minimalist Film Posters by Nicholas Barclay

Remember those minimalist film posters made with only circles? We're now selling them on our online art store My Modern Shop! Designer Nick Barclay, takes some of our favorite films, like The Matrix, The Lord of the Rings, and Forrest Gump, and turns them into clever works of art. Who could forget the classic conundrum – red pill or blue pill? “You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.”

Barclay came up with the idea for the series after watching Interstellar and “hating it.” That made him think about how the classic film 2001: Space Odyssey could be boiled down to just one circle and the rest, as they say, is history.

We're now carrying 14 total posters by Nicholas Barclay in our shop. Here's a selection of what you'll find. Test yourself by seeing how many of the hidden meanings you can find by checking out the full set on My Modern Shop.
