From a series of nightscapes by a photographer known on Flickr as "
Unseendesire".
This artist is masterful in capturing light. Ever tried to take a photograph at night? No matter how hard i try, it always comes out as a miserably failed attempt, followed by me trying to pass it of as something artsy.
Even though it's at night, this city is flooded with light. The photo above is of an enormous building in Beijing dangerously looming over older buildings in front. It makes the smaller buildings look like they should be worried. That giant building is another product of globalization and it's forcing everything else to make way for it's imminent goal.
Other images show buildings and little places in the city looking like they've been kept a secret, only coming out of hiding when there's just the right amount of light.
