Nottage Design’s G-1 Glass Pool Table Goes Modern

The Nottage Design G-1 is a pretty cool modern redesign of a classic old school game. This glass-topped pool table features a transparent playing area with a glass top and patented resin playing surface. The patented transparent Vitrik playing surface is used instead of the traditional felt surface. It gives resistance to rolling balls, just like cloth does. The surface creates a stunning "floating on air" effect as balls glide smoothly and quietly. You can get your hands of one of these babies for a hefty $25,150. Although I kind of dig the sleek, modern look of the glass pool table, I'm not completely sold on its structural capacity.

love the design, and that playing surface sounds amazing in that it's clear and yet offers rolling resistance. brilliant.

doesn't really fit in with my decor, even though i do own a carbon fiber pool cue...
