OK Go Danced Through LA (10 pics)

If there is one band that continually amazes me with their wonderful creativity and near-flawless execution, it's OK Go. Over 50 million people must agree with me because that's how many have watched their Grammy Award winning treadmill music video Here It Goes Again. Personally, I'm a big fan of White Knuckles which features some kick-ass furry friends. Yesterday, November 17th, the rock band asked fans and musicians, armed with a slew of instruments, to join them on an eight mile trek through the streets of LA. While playing and singing songs from their latest album, the group walked down the street as if they were a part of a New Orleans street parade. As day turned to night, the parade came alight with LED as followers waved over 600 glow sticks and flashing lights. As the band walked and played around the city their movements spelt out the words “OK Go” in giant letters which dwarf the famous Hollywood sign. Damian Kulash from OK Go said: “We tracked every step of our journey through GPS to create a unique piece of collaborative, living art. We have danced with our home town and want our fans to do the same.” The event was produced as part of Range Rover's "City Shapers" program, of which the "Pulse of the City" app is also a part. The band provided 20 Flip cameras to their peeps to record the parade. Footage will be shown at the OK Go concert at the Nokia Theatre on 27th November and be available to view at www.helloevoque.com and OK Go’s social media channels.
