Artist’s Detailed Sketches Display Memories as Tangible Objects and Intricate Landscapes

Have you ever wondered what your memories would look like if they came alive? Michigan-based artist Pat Perry has the innate ability to portray this occurrence by sketching tangible objects and landscapes within a person's mind. Using yellowed paper, Perry draws fluid imagery swirling around his subject's body to expose the connection that is shared between memory and identity. Every object is brought to life with impeccable shading and contrast, while a combination of both urban and natural scenery creates a story that is unique to each of his remarkable designs and characters.

A familiar sense of home is symbolically shown in Perry's surreal creations. Each piece has a specific personality, revealing that our memories are a key part of who we are in the present moment and who we will become in the future. The incredible details bridge the gap between fantasy and reality, so that onlookers can take a moment to visualize what their own histories would look like outside the confines of their complex minds.
