Hundreds of Colorfully Lit Tents Line Britain's Coastline

In celebration of the upcoming Olympics, over 12,000 events and performances are being held in the UK. It's called the London 2012 Festival and it's called an "explosion of arts and creativity." One of the standout installations begins at dusk and ends at dawn. Peace Camp, happening in eight different coastline locations between July 19 and 22, consists of eight camps where visitors will encounter hundreds of small translucent tents that will glow in different colors - from white to pink to yellow to orange. Not only will this be a visual experience, it will be an auditory one, too. As you wander around you'll hear, according to the Telegraph, a "soundscape of love poetry embedded in a tapestry of words, signals and noises which will play in counterpoint to the ambient roars and whispers of the wind and waves."

It's meant to be a celebration of love poetry and landscape.

Though Peace Camp happens near the end of July, you can see an actual installation right now on a small field in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. The small test site is where these photos were taken.
